APF's Parent Education Masterclass: Sexuality and ASD

These presentations highlight the importance of teaching sexuality skills to individuals with autism. They cover risks such as vulnerability to abuse, myths about lack of interest, and the critical role parents play. Skills include body awareness, menstrual care, reproduction and birth control, hygiene, understanding laws, and safe online behavior. Additional topics include consent, abuse prevention, masturbation, sexual orientation, gender identity, relationship types, and individual preferences. The sessions stress the importance of privacy, safety, and teaching children to advocate for themselves.
